Contacts — list, search, filter, enrich, segment
How to find people, group them, and keep their data clean.
The contact view
Every contact has a profile page that pulls together everything we know about them: emails sent and received, deals they're on, tasks tied to them, payment history (if Stripe is connected), and any notes you've added. Click any contact name from the list to open it.
- Header — name, role, company, primary email, phone
- Timeline — every interaction in reverse chronological order
- Deals — every deal they're associated with
- Tasks — open + completed tasks
- Notes — your private notes (not visible to the contact)
- Stripe panel — subscription status + lifetime value (if Stripe is connected)
Searching and filtering
Free-text search
The search box at the top of /contacts searches across name, email, phone, company, and notes. Press / from anywhere to focus it.
Open ContactsCombine filters
Click + Filter. Common filters: Tag, Lifecycle stage, Lead status, Source, Last contacted (date range), Owner. Filters AND together; multi-value within one filter ORs.
Save a view
Click Save view → name it. Saved views show up in the left sidebar so you can return to "Hot leads" or "VIPs" in one click.
Tags vs lifecycle stage vs lead status
These three feel similar but serve different purposes. Use the right one and your reports stay clean.
- Tags — flexible labels you create freely. "vip", "newsletter-subscriber", "spoke-at-conf-2026". Many per contact.
- Lifecycle stage — fixed enum showing where the relationship is: lead → MQL → SQL → customer → evangelist. One per contact.
- Lead status — the sales-readiness signal: new / contacted / qualified / unqualified / customer. One per contact.
If you find yourself creating tags like "qualified" or "customer" — stop and use lead status / lifecycle stage instead. Reports group on those fields, not on tags.
Bulk actions
Select multiple contacts
Tick the checkboxes on the contacts list. Select-all in the header selects every contact matching the current filter (across pages).
Apply bulk action
A floating bar appears with: Tag, Untag, Set lifecycle stage, Assign owner, Delete, Export CSV, Add to campaign.
